DOX Productions was founded in 1999 by David Sington, Gareth Cadwallader and Jonathan Scherer. We are a specialist independent producer of documentary films and series for television and the cinema.

 

We believe that our first duty is to entertain an audience with a strong story and engaging characters; our second is to have something true, interesting, and original to say. Many of our films tackle important global issues. We strive to make memorable films that matter.

 

Our cinematic documentaries have had wide theatrical releases in the UK, USA, France, Germany, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. They have won a number of prestigious international awards.  

 

Our critically acclaimed television films also typically reach a very large global audience. We are commissioned by leading broadcasters including BBC, Channel 4, PBS, National Geographic, Discovery and Arte. Our films have also been shown by dozens of other broadcasters in over 30 countries.
