DOX Productions Ltd, the London-based film-maker, and Oscar-winning producer John Battsek today announced that they would co-produce DOX’s next three films. The deal follows a successful collaboration on DOX’s critically acclaimed feature release “In the Shadow of the Moon,” for which Battsek acted as Executive Producer.
The co-production deal covers three planned DOX feature films. Battsek will be integrally involved in all aspects of the films. ‘We are already in development for the first film,’ Battsek said. ‘I’m very pleased with the early rushes. We’re already seeing a strong level of interest from investors and distributors.”
Principal Film-maker at DOX Productions, David Sington said, ‘We’ve got some fantastic stories to tell, and the early indications that they are going to work as feature films extremely well. Ultimately, our business is all about extraordinary people whose charisma translates to the camera, who have extraordinary stories to tell. Because of our track record, we keep finding these people and their stories; or they keep finding us.”
